International Fellowships and Awards

 

  Help-age International Fellowship UK  programme during Aug. -  Sept. 1994. He was invited as a resource person for the Asian d Asian Institute of Technology(AIT), Bangkok, Thailand,   under the fellowship in 1994.

  He was invited to present two papers in the 10th  International  Meeting of    University  Administrators ( IMUA ) Fellowship, UKduring1996, at University of Capetown, Stellenbosch,  Tecchnikon & Western Cape at South Africa  .

  Fulbright Scholar during, 1998 - 1999. He Visited Columbia University Newyork and Maryland University, USA under the Fulbright Fellowship and audited five courses.

Dr.M.K. Bhandi has  been conferred the  Society  for Information    Science (SIS) Fellowship  for the year 2003  for   his valuable  Contributions to Library and  Information Science. This was     presented  to Dr. M.K.  Bhandi  in  the  21st   Annual Convention  and Conference on New Challenges in Information Management and E-learning in the Age of Globalisation issues and Opportunities held  at    Indian  Institute   of    Technology, Roorkee on  9-11th April 2003. This felicitation was done by Sri Dharma Vir,Principal Secretary of Technical Education of  Haryana  on  9th  the inaugural  day  of the Convention and Conference.

 Indian Association of Special Libraries and Information Centers (IASLIC ) – S M Ganguli Award for Librarian of the Year2006 awarded to Dr M K Bhandi University Librarian, Mangalore University, Mangalore on 26-12-2007 at Jamia Millia University , Delhi .  

           

‘Best Librarian Award’ of Government of Karnataka for the year 2007 has been conferred to Dr. M. K. Bhandi, University Librarian, Mangalore University on 12thAugust 2008 on ‘Dr. Ranganathan’s Birth Day and Librarian’s Day’.

          The Karnataka State Government nominated Dr.M.K.Bhandi as a member of the ‘Karnataka Knowledge Commission Study Group on Libraries in Higher Education’.
